“Stubborn Ounces” By Bonaro W. Overstreet

You say the Little efforts that I make
will do no good: they never will prevail
to tip the hovering scale
where Justice hangs in balance.

I don’t think I ever thought they would.
But I am prejudiced beyond debate
in favor of my right to choose which side
shall feel the stubborn ounces of my weight.

Brian, I think it will be a hair shirt you get, but I can’t think of a better bloke to try to do something. A friend in Curl Curl ran for and was elected to the Council, but found he could achieve nothing until he joined forces with 2 other new members and formed a supportive block. So choose your friends carefully!

Definitely the man for the job. 100% support from me and there is many more out there that would be saying the same. When all your efforts are put in with no self gain but purely for ones that need it the most you have the man for the job. Having a heart of gold and the sheer determination to get done what is needed for the people this is the man who we all should be backing thru and thru. All the best Mr Pember.

What a breath of fresh air you would bring to council, honest, hardworking, and you actually care about the community. Go ‘Team Brian’.
